♥ 11 Jan - 1st session of PMC (Pre-Martial Counselling)
I've heard from some friends that they dread PMC cos of the horror stories they have heard of couples breaking up after going thru PMC & found out that they really couldnt agree on stuffs and decided to call off the wedding.
For me, i actually look forward to PMC... maybe i've heard so much about it, will be good to go thru it personally & judge for myself whether the horror stories are valid or not... Will give a verdict after all after our 5 sessions.
PMC #1 - Overview of Christian Marriages - God's idea of marriage
Met up with CT & MS for the 1st session. Quite interesting to learn abt the roles of husband & wife, how God meant for it to b in the beginning. Learnt many things & the one tat really strike me is tat the husband needs to take care of the spiritual walk of the wife too. Common scenarios r the wife has no time to spend time w God due to the time & energy needed for the children. So it's the task of the husband to take effort to share QT thots, fr the Word w the wife so she gets spiritual input as well. Also it's impt for the husband o share abt the ministry happenings & updates w the wife so she's still in touch w the ministry even if physically she's not nor has the capacity to serve due to children. Tis way it'll b easier for the wife to 'release' the husband for ministry needs as well as easier for her to return to serve as she's in the loop all these while.
