♥ Camp after thoughts...
It's been a long time since i update... been wanting to update about the navteens camp but havent had time to be still to reflect over the 7 days of camp.
Like most camps, what i really remembered is not so much the messages / lessons etc, but rather the people & the events that happened.
Like last year's camp - Jailbreak, i still hear teens quoting Chris "You ate my food, played my games, be my slaves"... That must have been really impacted them that there's no free lunch in the world...
This year, we had Nav Sim's City... many of the 'christians' in the games are persecuted for their faith and during such crux of the moment, would they give up their faith or just succumb to what is the easier way out... Actually i dont really what i would do... cos whatever persecutions i face at home, is never the life or death kind... when i'm being humiliated, tortured etc etc, will i still wanna walk with God... well, something interesting to ponder about, for the teens too...
The People from Team 4
I had a lot of fun with my team this year =) Everyone of them is so unique and kind of make up the whole dynamics of the team. Looking back...
Bernice:
like the elder sister in the team, i know i can always count on her if i need anything to be done or take note of, very reliable indeed!
Joseph:
First time being leader in camp. The image of him being sec one still kind of stick in my mind... hahaha, dont know why... he's grown sooooo much taller and more hair now, not botak like before... =P But i must say i dont really know the names of the teens who hang out at t-J and joseph is one of those whom i always forget the names even though i had asked them before.
Valerie:
A very sweet looking gal, but the sweet demure image disappear the moment she opens her mouth... It was so difficult to get a word in whenever u have a conversation with her... and talk about changing subject... she changes subject as fast as she breathes! Quite challenging to keep up with her, hahaha... i've found my match
Benjamin:
Great toilet mopping skills! hahaha... very enthu when given tasks to do... i was touched when i commented that there's water marks on the toilet mirrors & he just go all out to rub & scrub to get them out...
Raj:
I always thot that he's very quiet whenever i met him at t-Junction. It's quite delighting to see him mingling w the rest of the guys... i think i've heard him talk more this camp then the rest of this year's combined =)
Samuel:
I still rem him in the past camps, attaching himself to his sisters' team cos he was too young to be a camp participant. I see him delightfully savouring of every camp moments =) How i wish everyone of our campers can have the same enthusiaism as him. Similarly for me, it was so difficult to get my mum to agree to let me go Nav Camp, so i always treasure going for nav camps. I suppose, it is how it works... sometimes, one tends to treasure more when something is not easy to get... I bet Sam will be one of the first few to sign up for all nav camps when registration is open =)
Matthaeus:
God used me to pray for him during camp. It's an encouragement for me too, to be in touch with the Holy Spirit, telling me what to pray specifically for Matt. =)
Malcom:
Botak! Was quite apprehensive when i first him in my team... my thots were like "Siao liao, i have a 'chao ah beng' in the team... going to have my hands-full this camp..." hahaha... i had no trouble with him at all, on the contrary, had quite a few nice talks with him, getting to know him... well, really shouldnt judge a book by it's cover...
Zhenghan:
Always hungry, always moving around, cannot keep still...
Lijin:
A very pretty gal with a great smile! it's a pity that she joined us for only 2 out of 5 days of camp. At least i got to know her better this camp
Sean:
A very mischievous fellow... =P
Daniel:
So sad he missed the leaders' camp, had so much fun & bonding during the 2 days. Tik he would be better orientated if he can be there...
Evan:
A very very quiet guy... well, cannot have too many noisy pple around... =)
Miaowen:
Placed her as the last cos of this funnie photo i have of her =) Made her take a pic with the tallest guy in camp... can u guess who he is by the photo? hahaha... He is seng whye... his name is so difficult to pronounce so i gave him the name Brandon instead =P So 'ba dao' of me right? kekeke...

I think i made them dance 2 hours of American Square Dance, LOL! That was fun! The teens r throughly drained out... whereas for me, i only exercise my mouth by shouting out the instructions, hahaha....
After the torture, someone suggested that i got to dance too... and played the music super fast at times & super slow at times, quite comical now that i look back... hahaha, so much for being tortured back... :P Hope that part which was taped down does not turn up in facebook though...
hmm....
